Day to Day itinerary
Days 1/2 - Mon 29 /Tue 30 March
Depart UK on an overnight flight to South Africa. Arrive Cape Town mid-morning and after collecting your luggage you will be met in arrivals by our local host Sue, who will be with you for the rest of your stay. Enjoy an orientation tour of Cape Town before stopping for an included late lunch at a local restaurant. Enjoy a little time to relax before heading on to our hotel for the remainder of your time in Cape Town. After checking in you are free to enjoy the hotels facilities before meeting up again with Sue for your evening meal.

Day 3 - Wed 31 March
After breakfast we begin our exploration as we head into Cape Town Peninsula & the Cape of Good Hope. Discover the breath-taking beauty of the Cape Peninsula on a full-day journey through some of South Africa's most spectacular coastal landscapes. Following the scenic Atlantic coastline, passing through the charming seaside suburbs of Camps Bay and Hout Bay you will enjoy magnificent ocean views as you travel along the world-famous Chapman's Peak Drive, renowned for its dramatic cliffs and panoramic vistas. Continue to the iconic Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where rugged coastlines, unique flora, and diverse wildlife create an unforgettable natural setting. Explore the reserve and visit the legendary Cape of Good Hope, one of the most celebrated landmarks in South Africa. The tour also includes a visit to Cape Point, where you can take the funicular (not included) or walk up to the historic lighthouse for stunning views over the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Afterward, travel along the False Bay coastline to Simon's Town, home to the famous African penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Observe these charming birds in their natural habitat before returning to Cape Town via the picturesque coastal route. During this trip we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 4 - Thu 1 April
Today is a free day and you can enjoy an optional excursion up the famous Table Mountain (weather dependent) or to the infamous Robben Island, prison island of Nelson Mandela. Wander around the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Day 5 - Fri 2 April
Another highlight of this tour is our trip into South Africa famous wine region. Experience the charm, history, and world-class wines of the Cape Winelands on this excursion to Franschhoek, one of South Africa's most celebrated wine regions. Departing after breakfast leave Cape Town and travel through picturesque mountain scenery to the beautiful village of Franschhoek, renowned for its French Huguenot heritage, award-winning vineyards, and stunning landscapes. Stroll through the quaint town centre, browse local boutiques, and admire the historic architecture that gives Franschhoek its unique character. Enjoy a 'Bubbles' tasting at the famous Haute Cabriere (can't call it Champagne though, learn about the winemaking process, vineyard cultivation, and the rich history of South African wine production while enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards. Also included today is a late lunch with great food and some more wine tasting (well it would be rude not to!).

Day 6 - Sat 3 April
Today is a free day and you can enjoy an optional excursion up the famous Table Mountain (weather dependent) or to the infamous Robben Island, prison island of Nelson Mandela. Wander around the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Day 7/8 - Sun 4/Mon 5 April
It's safari time so pack your overnight bag! Following breakfast we escape the city and experience South Africa's spectacular wildlife on a 2-day safari adventure to a private game reserve. This unforgettable excursion offers the opportunity to encounter Africa's iconic wildlife and immerse yourself in the beauty of the Western Cape's natural landscapes. On arrival at the game reserve it's time for a spot of lunch before check-in, then the first of our two game drives in search for the famous Big Five — lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard — as well as giraffe, zebra, antelope, and a variety of birdlife. Returning to our accommodation, hopefully with lots of photos in the bank, to enjoy an evening meal and chat about what you've seen and what you hope to see tomorrow!
After a night in your comfortable lodge accommodation it's an early start as we embark on a sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active. Capture incredible photographs and hopefully enjoy close-up encounters with Africa's magnificent animal before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Return drive to our Cape Town hotel, with plenty of chat about your experiences along the way.

Day 9 - Tue 6 April
Free day to further explore and your host Sue will be on hand to give suggestions such as the stunning Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden just a few minutes from the hotel, alternatively you can relax and enjoy the hotels amenities. If the weather hasn't played ball and it hasn't been possible to enjoy one of the two optional excursions offered (Table Mountain & Robben Island) hopefully today is the day! In the evening we head out for a farewell dinner.

Day 10 - Wed 7 April
Today is free until it's time to head back to the airport for our return flight. Relax around the hotel after checking out or venture out for some last minute souvenir shopping.
